Background

1. Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “Tingyi”) are mainly engaged in production and sales of instant noodles, beverage and instant foods in Chinese Mainland

2. Headquartered in Shanghai, Tingyi has 56,000 employees, and expanded its businesses and built its production bases in 34 provincial-level administrative regions across Chinese Mainland.

3. The company has listed on Hong Kong Exchanges in February 1996. In 2019, it achieved a revenue of RMB 62 billion, and leading market shares of 43.3% and 45.7% for instant noodles and beverage, respectively.


Business challenges

1. Low informationization level of HR SSC, and unclear responsibilities for roles in business processes

2. Lack of unified management platform for HR SSC; and lack of intelligent call center, causing poor customer experience in communication and Q&A.

3. HR SSC service only covers partial personnel business modules other than all departments, and the effect of centralized management is not fully demonstrated

4. High HR SSC management cost and low organizational effectiveness


Solution

1. After sorting out the business processes in HR SSC service, we developed a business process optimization plan, which determines the responsibilities of all roles, and empowers process nodes with RPA, OCR and other digital tools to realize automatic process transition.

2. We built a ticket system featuring transparent workflow management and control for all HR; and established digital platforms such as employee hotline and AI customer service, to improve customer experience.

3. CDP started to undertake HR SSC operation and management of Tingyi by batches since August 2019, to provide professional and quality personnel service for its 56,000 employees, which significantly reduced HR SSC management cost for Tingyi.

4. CDP started to optimize solutions for performance appraisal, BI indicators, sales bonus calculation and other businesses since August 2020, and continue to provide digital platforms and operation empowerment services.


Business value

1. By adopting standardized settings, processes and digitalization tools, we built an intelligent and shared HR service platform to offer Tingyi efficient, standard and professional HR services, thus comprehensively improving its employee satisfaction and engagement.

2. We reduced the daily routine work of HR in Tingyi, and helped them focus on core HR businesses, so as to implement human resources strategy, and promote the development of Tingyi.

3. The digital platform realized transparent management of HR SSC services, and improved the overall service efficiency, which further promoted digital transformation of HR operation.

4. CDP undertook HR SSC operation and management of Tingyi, to help Tingyi forge head into a new stage in human resources management transformation.
