Employees who have not committed serious misconduct are dismissed with notice. The minimum periods are neither established by law nor by the text of the regulations. In practice, these notice periods are governed by collective agreements in the company's industry or by the company's internal regulations.
In the event of an individual or collective dismissal within the organization, the indefinite employment of a hired employee is entitled to severance pay at the following rates: one month of employment with the employer per year, up to a maximum of fifteen (15) months. The amount of the severance pay is calculated on the basis of the highest average monthly salary during the last three years of the employee's employment.
immigrants
Most foreign nationals need a visa to enter Algeria, and there are three main types of visas: tourist, business and work visas. While Algeria has embassies in most major world capitals, there are not many consulates.
Work visas are more complicated and require documentation from the Algerian Ministry of Labor, including a work contract and work permit. Unfortunately, the work visa application process can be lengthy.
